Chuckle by Karimoko New Standard

Location: Aichi, Japan

is a minimal design created by Japan-based designers . The history of Karimoku, Japan’s leading manufacturer of wooden furniture, started from a small woodworking shop established in Kariya, Aichi Prefecture in 1940 by Shohei Kato, who took over a timber company which dates back to the Edo period. Wood processing, surface treatment and coloring technologies had been accumulated through the subcontracting of various wooden parts in the mid-1900s.

Chuckle is a set of small handy trays that gently rock when touched, and, as if to help, slightly lean towards you when taking things out. While not in use, they stack up compactly to save space.
